Insomniac are one of a few studios that "usually" think outside of the box... I think there strong suit is toon or realistic toons, quirky, stylized fun, outrageous weapons.... This just seems to have cookie cut written all over it, ho hum, just another bargain bin game waiting to happen from this early look.
Since it's IG's I will give them the time to show more meat, but the foundation looks weak, generic and as far from creative and stylish as you want to...
I agree, and would like to add that TLOU may be at a disadvantage, not have the diverse locations and settings that UC2 and 3 had... As of now I see the city overgrown with jungle/plant-life...I am still wondering if you will also see some locations outside of the city itself, as I noticed they had some concepts/ shots of the outskirts of town, perhaps you must travel to other locations to solve problems too?
Either way, it is looking beautiful and will still get better as ti...
I agree... Both LBP 1 and 2 are both high up on my favorites list...The LBPC beta was better than I could have imagined, and I went into it with high expectations...
I am sure when Tearaway comes for the Vita I will go for it too. And I cannot wait to hear/see something on the new IP they have been working on too, they spent something like 5 million on R&D ( and have said it is very ambitious) I believe and it's been something like 20 months now that they have been in...
@FunAndGun...
No it's another IP, Tearaway is for the Vita...
The one I am talking about is the "very ambitious project" with millions of R&D behind it.
...
***Launch date***.... of the new store in the US...Is what this is IMHO...
New Infamous would be a possibility...
In a perfect World it would be *Media Molecule* announcing/showing off there new up-coming IP. Oh well one can dream....
...
Any news is good news for this game these days....
I figure if the PS4 arrives in Late 2013, then TLG could come in late 2014, giving the user installed base of the PS4 a year to grow...
A top 3 game on my most wanted list for something like 5 years now, looks like the wait continues to year 7?
I bet in the end the wait will be worth it, and I hope and bet that the ship is on the right course. A full shift to PS4 is most likely the culprit he...
A masterpiece in the making, I agree. Just when you think it cannot get better they up the ante...
I wonder if they wil be introducing new characters for the COOP MP? I figure they will.
I love the extra option, you get single player and co-op MP, the more choices the better, as long as they give everything they have for both single and MP game modes....Knowing NG this is a sure bet...
Rare stories make it to the top because people know what they "were"...
But hope burns eternal... Rare is diversifying, they are looking for 2D and 3D artists to create art for **Win 8 Mobile and Tablet devices**...
They are looking for experienced people to run online services or Free-to-play experiences....
But in the end I wish the Stamper brothers were still there and true blue old school Banjo's and Conkers were being given...
I also heard that the guy who played Sawyer on the show LOST will be playing as Baird?
I hope it's done right, not full of cheesy pop culture drivel...Not that the Gears series is full of that, just that I hope the movie is taken seriously, which I think it will be, but sometimes it gets in the wrong hands, and then, voila, a crapper of a flick...
Here is to hoping it comes out and is done right...
@ Nawert...
That makes two of us... With LBP 1 and 2, and then this, and then Tearaway, and finally the new IP they are working on these guys are busy...
Cannot wait for anything from MM, they are special...
Knowing the pedigree of this game, and what I have seen thus far this will be DAY 1 for me...
I still wonder how if at all the platforming is different from UC... Will it be more strict and unforgiving? The AI is fantastic from the early looks.
I like the 2nd shot (concept art) from the story, it shows that the characters will more than likely traverse the outer reaches of the city too...
Waiting for games like this Last guardian and MM's...
It is one of the primary aspect's for games IMO. Poor A.I. can be devastating to a game. If you have great eye candy, indepth original gameplay, and then A.I> is shoddy, well all is spoiled...
From what I have seen the NPC's in TLOU really react well to your behavior, they respond to your actions seamlessly in fact as good as I can recall seeing in any game thus far...
Whew, I wish this game was out now...
I hope it is spectacular, it along with my PS4 be fun city, the best of both World's I always say.
I think it will be one Hell of a system... I only hope they come up with more exclusives, and allow for some "outside of the box" games AAA wise...
Forget about the console fanboy wars...Pick the best from all what is on offer from both systems...
That depends on the Brother, and the Brothers Brother... Money is not the root of all evil, just a portion of it...
Perhaps if they showed a pixel-ed out Mario, speaking with his familiar voice saying here Mr.Kevin Butler *Screwa Sony, *taka thisa* cash as Mario hands a overflowing briefcase of cash to Kevin Butler...
Bring in "Sack-boy" and he will show you how to be a proper mascot...
I sure would love to see **Uncharted 4** on the PS4.... If on the PS3, then still Day 1...**The Last of us** is near the top of my list, and **The Last guardian** (no matter what system PS3 or PS4) are DAY 1's for me...
One I am really looking forward to is the new IP from **Media molecule**, perhaps a PS3 surprise? I can only imagine the creativity and style pouring out of every pore of that game...I bet (hope I am right) then when the PS4 is unveiled we will see MM'...
It comes from a well proven dev/studio. It has retained a proven talent in Danny Bulla from RDR...MMO-style "sci-fantasy, action shooter" featuring "client based mission structures with persistent elements" all in a sandbox......If I were a betting man (which I am not) I would bet on this being something special. It's got the ear marks for it looking at it's pedigree...
Time will tell that's for sure, but you can 90%+ bet it will be one to wat...
Yes they are the real deal. I wish more studios would be "brave" enough or sure enough of there talent/skills to create special games with style and creativity...
LBP karting and Tearaway are on my must have lists. The LBP series is special and I expect more of the same from LBPK and Tearaway.
Then what I want even more so is that new and as they put it even more ambitious new IP they are currently working on...Cannot wait to see this. Also wonderin...
IMO...IG are best fit to create stylistic/toons...Games like R7C,Spyro...Perhaps they along with EA think they can comptete with COD/BF? I for one do not think they are a great fit for that genre/theme...
Fuse looks like the blood and life have been ripped away, no charm, style or personality, just what at least at this time looks to be yet another ***"generic"*** shooter, nothing that grabs you, nothing with a hook or worth mentioning, just bland/boring and another ...
Yes I do feel the same in many ways... The whole stylistic toon vibe is what I think they do best...Perhaps they are looking into more of a COD gamestyle? They are ***bleeding the charm, style and creativity*** out of what made them special if you ask me. Spreading your wings is fine, expanding your horizons, but I believe they should at least keep some of what made them stand out, stick to there roots ...R&C are more cash cow then full blown new broader versions of the series, they seem t...
To me they are not looking to do something different, it appears that they are playing it safe, or being pushed in a certain direction, nothing different or unique here from the early looks...This does not look new, it looks cookie cut, and generic, boring... I agree it looks nothing close to amazing, and thats sad, because they could be doing amazing, our loss if this stays as is...
